I’ve often wondered if the technology wouldn’t lead to wireless charging of the vehicles from the power grid along side of the roads? We charge cell phones wirelessly already, so it’s certainly a possibility. And I think computer technology is probably already available that would allow the tracking and payment for the electical usage? What has a long way to go yet is coming to grips with the huge amount of generation capacity that will need to be added in a relatively short amount of time.
