Subject: RE: Harvestore Rental for Grain

Leesburg, Ohio
We put corn and beans in two different Harvestor units that are on a rented farm (they go with the farm rent). One is a converted Slurrystore with a Harvestore roof, the other is a short silo (35 or 40' tall). Both have full drying floors with fans, and 8" unload augers. We have had no issues except for a couple roof leaks in the Slurrystore structure. We fill both with 60' Westfield swing-away augers...we can't reach the center lid on the silo, but we can reach a small existing hatch near the edge of the roof, so that unit gets filled a bit off-center.
The wall sheets are lapped the opposite of a regular grain bin, but that has not been a problem for us.

Rent is whatever the two parties can agree on. The Harvestors go with the farm, but we rent a couple bins on another neighboring farm, and we pay 10 cents/bu, plus electricity, and we do the repairs.
