There's other reasons to rent it, partly a foot in the door thing, but I do need some excess space for beans. Just how the acreage works out for me in the coming year, I will have a 1/2 full 30K bin if I put beans in it. Not feeling as though the fall delivery will be attractive for forward contracting this year. Carry and better basis bids at the spring and summer highs will probably pay a guy 30-40c to store it to February over harvest forward sale. So I want to bin beans. But the Harvestore is a no.

Mentioned to SDFarmer, it's just a short-term solution as well. I need more bin space. I've been wanting to go something bigger though, 80-100K bushel bin to put next to the 30's, but that really needs the drying and conveyance systems as well to connect them and provide room for further additions, but I am not at that point yet.
