SW MN | I had a 25x90 that I used for corn and always dried the corn to 15% when I filled it. Always emptied it out in January. Always had trouble with moisture getting in from the out side between the sheets. Had it re torqued a couple of times and after a few years you could see light between the sheets. Moisture would get in and freeze chunks of corn and plug the sump. I got tired of fighting this and sold it and put up a bin and been happy doing so. I was told the worst thing for a Harvestore was setting empty, so maybe that was the problem setting empty for 9 months out of the year. Some people get along fine with them but it always made me nervous when the sump plugged. |
