Near-north Ontario, French River | I've had multiple root canals and only experienced pain with one of them. In that the case there was pressure built up inside the tooth as the infection wasn't completely cleared up by the antibiotics prior to the procedure. The pain was intense but lasted only for a few seconds when the dentist popped the filling out of the tooth to relieve the pressure. All the other root canals were essentially painless, or at the very least no worse than a standard cavity filling. |
