Near-north Ontario, French River
Well... you were lied too LOL.. Our healthcare is NOT free.. its funded through taxes.. but you already knew that right? Also, most dental work is not covered by OHIP ( Ontario health insurance plan ). Some dental work, for instance for kids under a certain age ( not sure what the minimum is ) some dental work is covered. I don't have kids so I don't fully know what is an isnt covered. For the most part dental is either covered by third party insurance , either through employers or purchased outright by individuals, or funded by the patient. In my case, being self employed I just pay out of my own pocket. It's not a financial hardship for me, but again I have no kids or dependents .
