Might be a good idea if you are adventurous. Build a heated shop with indoor plumbing. Buy a nice used 5th wheel camper and park it in the new shop to live in while the house is being saved for and built. Can always pull the 5th wheel out for a big shop project. Can always sell the 5th wheel when done with it.
I like this idea. Buy a used camper they can be pretty cheap and pretty well flatten out on what they are worth. So won't cost much. Then in the summer pull it out and live the camping life all summer. Then back inside in the winter.
And btw your wife is a keeper. Ha
