I would go with an actual foundation , not poles .....in time you would be glad. You will also need a well, and a septic system, which will also be needed in your dream home too. Unless you can run the water to a close dream home....added costs you will incur again. Plumbing for a slab house tends to be more difficult, so needs to be simpler if no basement or crawl space. Utilities take up some room so a 30x30 sounds small if sharing with all your utilities. Just be careful of costs...they can exculate easily on something temporary .
We are building a "pole building "house for my son, but it has a basement ,and stud construction....so really only resembles a pole barn in that it has steel siding and roof. Is very basic....30x50 living area with a 36x38 garage. It is built for a lifetime however. |
