No till and cultivation dont go together, you either have one or the other.

We did the ridge till thing until the early 2000s, went away from it on everything but our furrow irrigated fields and would never go back unless forced. I dont miss cultivating and hilling for days on end.

If youre a landowner who wants sharecrop but doesnt want expenses, then IMHO you should get a 1/4-3/4 split on dryland acres. If you want more return, you should be putting more skin in the game. I have no desire to take all the risk for someone else to get more reward.
