western iowa,by Denison | sold fats at local buying station $3 a hundred-local garage butcher was cutting loins out of 300# hogs and selling them for $24 and thru rest hog away-worse was 36ct fat cattle in late 70-80's time frame-got to be good friends with older gentleman at a dance-he told me of selling 1700# fats for 17cents-he feed 1,000 head-and was a very good operator-he never fed cattle again but never lost any ground and added to it when it was wholesaled not many years after that.
