I think they would be better off spending their time figuring out some way to re-design the grain bin so that they could easily shut off flow to the auger. If they did that they could program the switch so that:

1. The first time you hit the switch it will shut the flow off and then turn the auger off after there has been enough time to shut the auger off

2. The second time you hit the switch it will shut the auger off, regardless of whether you got it empty or not (so you can shut it off quick if something unexpected requires it)

If they made it so the auger was empty while not in use 99.99999% of the time, they could make that thing a heck of a lot longer and it would likely be one of the better augers on the market for clearing graincarts and reaching past headers. As it is, I just think it will be tough to make it ever be a good auger for clearing tall graincarts while going over terraces.
