Manitoba, Canada
Price doesn't matter if you really don't have to replace them. Macdon uses very thin cogged belts to run the sickle gear boxes on a hay header I have. I have used it for many acres for many years and the belts show hardly any wear at all. Unless something changes I have a feeling they will likely outlive the rest of the machine. I know a chain would have been replaced many times by now. Even if the belt costs 5 times as much I am still money ahead let alone the nuisance of changing them and the daily maintenance of oilng it. Time will tell if Agco has it figured out as well as MacDon.
