Those belts are made to continuously run not in this case where a 28% moisture corn to put that kind of shock load on engaging or when the semi is running over and you shut the auger off full and then you engage it again the amount of shock that puts on that belt will snap chains. Been there done that or sometimes will smoke the belt on the other side. Lol. Should have just left well enough alone IMO. That looks like a spend your belt. Chain would be a lot cheaper and stronger. But I still go back to this younger generation not wanting to dirty their finger nails with a little oil. It's harder to text that way and snap selfies of your self. Lol
