North Central Illinois | You can find such a person but it will scare you with what you will have to pay him and the benefits he will want. A guy with the level of experience and aptitude you want will cost you no less than probably $50,000 for just salary. Then when you add in everything else it will get spendy in a hurry. Now, depending on the size of your operation and your line of equipment this still might be a good investment for you if it means you can focus your attention solely on management and other tasks that need your attention. The other issue is do you have a decent shop that a qualified mechanic will be happy working in? It doesn't have to be new or fancy but needs to be big enough to get your largest piece of equipment in, have a good floor, heat, and be clean and uncluttered. | |
