KY | Your argument has merit for maybe 2 or three years--the time frame after someone has said they want to analyze their animals, their situation, and do whats best for that situation in terms of breeding.
Beyond those first couple of years, your younger heifers should be more advanced in terms of production capability, profitability, and genetics. If someone is not capable of that after spending 2-3 years making decisions to move toward that goal, then they shouldn't spend any extra effort beyond turning a bull out that has all around "good" traits and keeping the heifers that look "good" to that person.
I'm in no way saying that you, ben5398, REH, or anyone else on this forum is incapable of advancing their situation through breeding. | |
