North of London | That can be interesting.
I am sure some figure they work more than they do and other times would say it was less than actual.
Way back in the 1970ies I was selected for a survey of hours worked.
We were young and poor having just bought another farm across the road.
My wife was home then on pregnancy leave so she kept track of my hours.
Recorded them for the week with the 15th in it for each of 6 months.
Least i worked was 48 hours in February and we were away friday saturday and sunday
Planting hit both weeks in May and June, hours over 100 each week.
she only allowed me 15 minutes for lunch several days of those weeks and i asked about that figuring I had taken a half hour and she said yes but I was on the phone about seed, fertilizer parts etc for most of the lunch. No cell phones then.
So it was surprising to see hour the hours added up when recorded instead of just worked. | |
