Eastern Oregon | You can run like hell on a treadmill without getting anywhere. I think the purpose of this post is to take your nose off the grindstone for a second, look up and look around. Maybe you can learn from someone else without having to trod through the same footprints?
I worked long and difficult hours off the farm and on. I didn't get any working man's badge of honor. All I got was some capital and progressive improvement in life.
For awhile, I felt guilty during any idle time. Still trying to figure out "balance". I don't want to miss out on family and relationships and other life experience from workaholics. On the other hand, I don't want to suffer tomorrow from something that I could take care of today.
There are periods of all work and long hours and there are periods of leisure. I see extreme examples out of balance among my neighbors. I am probably average of ten of my neighbors?
