I've always wondered where "river bottom" ground is good.

"River bottom" ground "here" sucks royally.      This crappy ground I'm talking about is pretty flat and less than 1/4 mile from the river.

River bottom ground around here has sand and gravel.     Mining gravel is the best use of it if the gravel is any good.

Need to get about 1.5 to 2 miles away from the river to get into good ground.

In a county that doesn't average 90 csr.

Our particular area there are the loess hills and they have few gravels in the bottoms of smaller rivers/streams. The more major ones gets a little sand but not too bad. In this are the bottoms tend to be the more costly farms. Our area has tracts that probably range from 90-50 csr average.
