Subject: Farm ground in Iowa

south central ill effingham county
Where is the best dirt at in Iowa? Better question is there any cutoff lines where the dirt really falls off to marginal ground like on the Missouri/Iowa border? I've read somewhere that southern Minnesota and northern Iowa is some of the best ground in the Midwest. There was a post on here about a month ago about Souix county area how it was so good, does that area go further west into the dakotas? I live 20 miles of I 70 in Illinois, as said on here before Rte. 16 is the cutoff line for Illinois. We farm down by Rte 50 and the dirt really falls off fast once you get south of it.
