Southern MN | he'd have to get awfully big to need a bigger machine than a 4400.
Depends what else he splits his time with. If working 40+ hours off farm and bringing in a good paycheck, I would suggest a machine that you'll enjoy operating vs what is the right size for 100 acres. Your time and financial situation need to play into this decision as much as the number of acres do.
