Cat...is that good?

Late factory turboed 3208s were good engines, and a V8 works fine on a combine.

Be sure to price some wear parts, that is what steers most away from yellow, I have not priced parts, but people we know who are former NH owners say the cost of parts was a major deciding factor in switching to something else, mostly rotor parts, as they were similar priced to other colors, but there is twice as much stuff.

If you are looking at machines that big, Look at some R62 or R72 Gleaners. They are 12 row capable from factory, but can be ran 6 row if necessary.

For the acreage you have and if you want room to grow, a L2 or L3 may be a good match too, and the L2 and L3 Gleaners were regarded as excellent machines. I would lean towards a 81 or 82 L2 or any L3. The 78-80 L2 is next choice, and 77 is still a good machine, but not nearly as refined.
