southwestern Pa, on the Mason-Dixon line | A fairly large( for my area) pasture came available a short distance from my home farm. Farmer in his 70's with health issues and grown kids with absolutely NO interest in running cattle.
This place will easily hold 50 pairs from April 15 until mid November, has 4 strands of barbed wire, lots of water, set up for a couple of rotations ,and right next to a limestone quarry with ph's in the low 7's. GOOD legume to grass mix!
I got this for $1500 a year. I also agreed to cut some storm damage trees off of the fences this spring, and I am almost done with that.
I absolutely don't need this pasture , but wanted to tie it up......What do you guys think? |
