I probably painted with too broad of a stroke. NE SD is a big area and the climate generally gets drier and warmer when you head west of the coteau hills a ways. I'm at least 2 hrs SE of Leola. Biggest problem we have around here are these crazy winds and it isn't so much having stalks to graze as it is having an area for protection for the cattle.
