Where did you get that MU snuffed him out? Yes no doubt Jim stepped on some toes like big machinery and high input people that do fund the Ag schools. That is a real problem with honest researchers trying to save grazers money. It was a problem he could not ignore any more and moved on to greener pastures. Has he promoted some things that turned out wrong absolutely but it is better to find cheaper ways that try to buy inputs to prosperity. Question is who's prosperity? To say he is 90% manure is pure hog wash in my opinion and is also the opinion of almost all people that do graze grass for a living. Now I am not talking about people that raise cattle not the same thing period as a grazer. Ben
