| deere,
I was in your position about 5 years ago wanting to dairy farm and not having any experience. We purchased a farm and I did it for a few years before I realized it wasn't a good fit for me. You list that you have the opportunity to have someone that is at the opposite end of the spectrum to help you out (maybe even buyout someday). I would strongly recommend having a "mentor" there to help you out and keep you on the right track. This was a big help when I got started. I would have a dairy farmer, vet, feed nutrionist and financial advisor help you out, if possible. Good luck, I wish you the best, unfortunately it didn't work out for me, which turned out to be a better option for me, | |
