South East South Dakota/winters Tucson, AZ
I do sell mutton and have cooked it myself has a different taste than the lamb but no smell like you get from wool mutton. My goal for hanging weight is 60 lbs and about 8 months old. Last years drought it was more like 10 to 11 months as they ate hay starting in july. So alot depends on the year. This year the pastures did not start growing until late may so i am thinking 9 -10 months to make market weight.
