Subject: Re: 3 Point backhoe, tiling on a budget

Statesville, NC
Golf course next to me had a AC 6140 about 45hp with a backhoe, broke it completely in half. Then they got a JD 5200 with a Woods 1050 backhoe, probably too much for the tractor, and it cracked around a top corner flange where the transmission housings bolt together. It didn't get into the oil so they took the backhoe and loader off and still use it. With a backhoe and loader, there are severe stresses on a tractor, mostly trying to bow it up in the middle. I would be concerned with a 656 because it doesn't have a lot of depth in the clutch housing area.
