Other than the wrong date, which will probably get him off legitimately, why shouldn't he man up and pay the fine? Because it will affect his insurance rates? Should have thought about that before he tarped it.The business scale confirmed he was over. He could have gone around and dumped some off, couldn't he? Not knocking the original poster at all. He wasn't claiming he was under. Laws are laws and most of the traffic laws (MOST, but not all) were put in the books for a reason. If you don't want to follow them, OK, don't, but be ready to pay the fines if you're caught.
