| My grappa's stone boat was basically a 4x 6 or 8 foot long sheet of sheet metal or smaller pieces of sheet metal bolted together with a pipe bolted across the font for a pull point for tugs on harasses. it was used on he prairie farms to throw rocks on and skid them to the pile with horses and early tractors for power to pull ,and to haul manure out ot the fields in winter and pitch it back off .and bring back straw to the barn when it was empty. It was before farm loaders were used much. Low to the ground to roll large rocks on to and low to pitch manure on to. | |
