West Central Alberta Coldest, wettest edge | A big sled basically. The previous generation used them for feeding hay in the winter, or hauling manure. Two log skids, with boards across to make a deck, pulled with a chain. Or I suppose as the name implies, use them for hauling stones. Easier than lifting them up onto a wagon. I've never used one, but do remember when Dad still did occasionally.
