I think one point that has gotten lost in all this...... the adjuster called on Sunday AM - at 9:30AM - and wanted to come out that AM. That is awful last minute notice. I realize there are times when you do that. But, there is also the point that the adjuster could have been making that call on Friday or Saturday, lining up his work. At that point, the adjuster could have determined whether the farmer was available for a Sunday AM appointment. Looking at this strictly from a time management viewpoint, I think it is reasonable for a farmer to say "No, I am busy, and not available. Let's schedule at a later date." Seeing as how the adjuster called at the last minute, I have to wonder if he had a cancellation, and was trying to fill his time at the last minute. No harm in doing that. But he needs to realize that others may have plans, and he needs to respect that. (which it sounds like he did.) |
