My father could not afford to "give" me anything when I took over the farm. But he told me he would help drive tractor until he no longer could. Well that lasted 17 yrs. I could not imagine the amount of wages I would have paid someone else in that time frame. Yep, wrecked a lot of stuff, but like everyone else on here states, I have done my fair share of damage.
I buried my father 2 wks ago. He was 89. The day before he died he thanked me for letting him help all those years. I gave him the biggest hug I ever gave anyone and told him I wouldn't have wanted anyone else in our equipment.
God.... I really miss him
This was the first harvest that he was not around...it was really hard not seeing his truck in the yard.
Well my screen got pretty blurry so I better quit.
I don't know your name, but God Bless You! My grandfather is 85 and having many more of those "accidents" in the last couple years. The last one was when his foot slipped off the brake onto the gas and he ran into the truck shed. I hate to think of the day when he's no longer around.
