pknoeber hit it on the head. Even if you work for another farm, operating machinery, you will still benefit greatly by seeing how another operation operates. The soils lab will be boring, and a shock if you have never worked inside much, but you will learn a lot. There are a number of different operations in the area that are looking for help. I know Strunk harvesting is always looking for fall harvest help especially if you have a CDL. Also, do not spend all your time working. Make sure to study a little, meet people, join clubs, and go out on the town.
