Seaforth, Ontario | John SD, I've gone thru all the feet swelling, leg pains.... Yes the diuretics got the fluid retention down, but I still get the pains. It feels like gout in my feet and cramps in my legs. But, they are under control with weekly B12 shots; I can tell when it is time for my weekly shot.
i would recommend you (and others) to get blood work done for B12 levels. You may be in that 30% of the population that has the metformin/B12 absorption problem. If you do, you may not be getting B12 absorbed from the multivitamin. Some claim success with the sublingual (under the tongue) strips or pills (expensive).
