Subject: Re: Propane vs. Electric

We made the switch from electric gas water heater several years ago & never have regretted it. Main reason for the switch was recovery time was a lot better with the gas. Wife had a catering business that called for a lot of hot water when washing pots & pan. Before switching we went thru 2 water heaters in less than 10 yrs because they couldn't take the high demand. After a big dinner, by the time everything was cleaned up you were left in a cold shower:~(. We were able to go from an 80gal electric to a 50 gal propane & still have plenty of hot water. Propane was a lot more economical back then, not sure about how they compare now & really don't care. When I take a shower I want hot water, don't care what the cost is but compared to today's cost of farming it's miniscule.
