Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA | You are right about the bottom 20% being hard to define, and it's different to appear to be in the bottom 20% than to actually be in the bottom 20%. Again, I'm not referring to size. I think some producers that are flying high right now might have rent-bid themselves in that bottom: refer to the post in market talk right now that says "now that corn is below the cost of production..." Here's a hint: if right now corn price is below one's cost of production with normal yields, they might be in the bottom 20%. |
