Guarantee? Must be a "here" thing.

Everyone around here uses extreme caution when renting ground after the big guys. One of the more spectacular implosions here (leave you to figure out who that was) left a lot of rutted up and run down ground. They consistenly planted wet and left fields a mess. I would post some pics-but that usually doesn't go well. Small guy here myself, no way in hell they were within 40 bushel of my yeilds last year in the field right next door.

I will take a smaller guy who is willing to take care of my farm rather than get in and out fast just trying to cover as many acres as cheaply as possible. And yes, on the same ground I bet 8 times out of 10 his yeilds beats the BTO.

I think you can find good and bad examples of both, but that broad guarantee brush you are painting with is not true here.
