Just got today's Hoard's. An article in there written by Louis Longo is still saying that a beginning farmer can still do it, buying cows, renting a barn, and buying ALL his feed.
Now, that's how we started out. But that was 1985 and corn was like a $1.50.
I think one would be hard-pressed to start out that way. I know I would not want to.
