west central Iowa | Was checking a pen late today and saw a heifer flailing around in the bedding. Two legs and a head protruding on the back side. I grabbed the legs and pulled. One of the easier pulls I've had. I got her out of the pen (via loader option) and propped her up in some nice dry stalks. I had this happen on extremely hard pulls where they went down and never got up. Explain to me what has happened and if anyone has had any luck with getting these girls up again. We usually call the locker while their standing but couldn't do it this time. tia | |
