I'd just drive by....but if they do stop you hauling tires with "farm" tags you could get a fine. I was told that if I licensed my straight truck with farm tags and hauled a tractor tire to town for repairs they could theoretically ticket me....though it would be unlikely. The license office had a list of approved commodities you can haul and nothing else is allowed.
