North Central Ohio, across the Corn belt !

wc indiana - 7/22/2011 09:08 I have not been in a plane so far this year. A lot of our corn is flaring and showing N deficiency even when we applied plenty enough N. It feels like the trash leftover from the fall eats up a lot, so it starts showing now. We work the ground in both fall and spring and there is so much residue leftover that the soil seems "fluffy". I live north of the beef house about 10-12 miles.

so what do you call Adequate ? N. application

do you average 140 to 160 Bu. over a 10 year time frame.

or                         160 to 180 ?

                              180 to 220   ?
