when I was with J & M, we had to take a safety class, and pass the BATFE course and get licensed. When we came, even though it was only during the summer, we were professional. Insured and all. Worked hard to build a clientelle, and safety was part of our pitch. Never had an incident. Local Fire departments seem like a good idea, but have seen too much beer drinking, horseplay and "close enough" attitude to make me nervouse.
A little story about fireworks------------ just be careful out there.........
