Kansas | When I was about 6 (I'm 41 now) a cousin of mine came out to our farm to shoot stuff off. Like most of that age, I wanted to participate so I asked if I could throw a simple firecracker, but when it was lit I got scarred and my dad knocked it out of my hand just before it went off, but did burn my fingers a bit. Even though I know what I did wrong all those years ago, I still keep my distance and I get really annoyed with kids who think throwing those little "poppers" is fun, especially when they are deliberately throwing them at people. | |
