Last time our town had a fireworks 'in town', similar thing happened, broke the ankle of a gal in the audience.
Sad to hear the outcome of your experience.
Slightly rural family took over the show on their farm on the edge of town, until people stopped donating, so have to go to a neighboring town to watch any now.
A little story about fireworks------------ just be careful out there.........
