Fair enough, JC. Your next statement says it all in a nutshell and you are correct. Secular law does not recognize that life begins at conception.
But I am pro-choice in the fact that, if the law recognized life at conception, which no one has ever officially done, philosopher, theologian, etc., then the right to privacy of the mother would be superseded by the fetus.
Modern society as a whole has a long way to go.
