So, according to your logic, because we are "above" the animal kingdom, that means that we can just treat them however we want? Set aside the fact that we depend on animals for a myriad of reasons. We can just shoot them at will because they weren't blessed with reason. Sounds like a pretty flawed argument to me. But I guess I'm just a tree hugging hippie.

What did [enter wild animal here] ever do to deserve just aggression? I don't see many deer destroying cities to set up new habitats. I don't see many doves attacking humans like a Hitchcock movie. I don't see many pheasants joining drug gangs and doing drive-by shootings, mowing down humans.
