Subject: I just don't get it

We subsidized corn and had a surplus which drove prices down worldwide and they accused us of hurting farmers all over the world. Now we do the same thing but encourage investments in ethanol to use some of that surplus corn....and now we're hurting farmers around the world???? Shouldn't Brazil be happy that we planted more corn instead of planting soybeans and driving the soybean price down? What business is it of theirs what crop we plant as long as we use it within our own country?
