Subject: RE: What did Brazil do to build this market?

Lapel, In
As Dave Letterman would say," WHAAAAAT?"--------- Brazil is way ahead of us on ethanol production AND use. They have been using it in cars and trucks for quite a while now.
As a competitor of US argiculture, thay are not going to fall over and play dead.Let them produce ethanol and the more ethanol they produce, the less acres they will have to plant to soybeans.Their land is going to be farmed anyway. And since they can make ethanol with sugar cane which yields quite a bit more than corn ,(but is also more labor intensive and they have the cheap labor that we don't,) we really can't compete with them with us using corn anyway. The bottom line is the world needs all the alternative energy everyone can produce. Let the country that is best at it do the job.
