Thanks all for your suggestions. I'm going to dig into it a bit more when I get a chance. I post more pictures in a couple weeks when it's being seeded.


I'm thinking maybe you should look into sweet clover on that land with your durum. Next year, harvest the seed, chop the straw...

It'll help break up hardpan and isn't too picky about sodic / saline soils.
