Subject: Re: Honest opinion on row cleaners

Leesburg, Ohio
We've had lots better results since we got rid of the coulters and went with row cleaners. Preferrably fixed Martins or fixed Dawns. I had the fixed Martins first and they worked great. When I traded planters several years ago, the new planter had Deere-made-by-Yetters on it from the factory. Total disaster. They came off before the first season was over, and put floating Martins on it, and still have them. They work fine, but the floating part is a joke...they still have to be adjusted accurately to avoid furrowing in conventional and to avoid floating up too much in no-till. I'll go back to fixed next time.
